I love Christmas, but I’m terrible about sending out cards. I make them, I just never seem to get around to mailing them. I love to make them, so I thought I would get started with this super simple card that uses the new tree punch! I think it looks like a country type card. What do you think?
I started with my basic card. I used a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock cut at 5 ½” by 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.
Next I cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock at 5” by 3 ¾”. Then I ran it through my Big Shot using the Lucky Star embossing folder*. I glued this to my basic card.
Then I picked two sheets from the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper* and punched out two trees. I punched a third tree from the Champagne Glimmer Paper.
I used two or three dimensionals to attach the trees to my card. Then I wrapped a piece of linen thread three times. Then I used a button (unfortunately I realized after I made the card that this button had been discontinued). You could find all kinds of options on pages 208 and 209 in the annual catalog.
Then to finish it off, or just because I like to doodle, I used my white gel pen and doodled around the edges of the card. I didn’t say I was good at it!
