My New Job!

Well, it has been a long time between posts and I have became a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in July and have been busy with that, trips to visit relatives, business trip with my Scrubby, and the time has really gotten away with me.  I would like to invite you to visit my new blog site at I will be pretty busy, but still love to hear from everyone.

Where have I been?

Wow, time has flown by so fast that it has made my head spin.  I am going to have to go back through my calendar to figure out what has been keeping me away from my blog.  Ummmmm, I kind of got into a creative slump.  Maybe you are familiar with the pity party, that says "why are you doing this? no one wants to hear what is happening in your life. Gee, even your own family doesn't follow what you are doing!"  Well, I have decided that I will just do it for myself, cuz it makes me feel good!!
This is the scrapbooking journal that I made after taking the Bind it All class over at My Creative Classroom.  The little Teddy Bear was a paper piecing file from Treasure Box Designs called Scrapbooking bear, it came with several cute scrapbooking images.  I love the way it turned out!

Finally took a picture!!

Well, I guess I was wrong!  I took pictures but forgot to upload them to my computer!! So instead I will post the pictures of the signs I made for my 3 Grandchildren's bedroom doors! I originally got the idea from Jen at I made mine with the 11x17 inch canvas board that I got from Wal-Mart.  I painted the backgrounds with craft paint and the images are all cut and layered in vinyl.   I was really proud of the way they turned out!

What next?

So this week I have been busy finishing up the projects that I have been working on for my online class at My Creative Classroom.  I have made several books in my Bind it All classes, the problem comes when I have to "make it pretty".  That creative process just takes a lot of time for me.  I hope to have pictures of completed projects soon.  I don't like the picture taking part!  So why am I doing Scrapbooks???? Maybe that's why I have now started studying website development!  I think I am going a little bit signature

More Excuses

I don't have any more excuses for not posting, other than I am boring!!! January was a terrible month for us and for a lot of my friends.  We made a trip to North Carolina to stay with our Grandchildren while Mom and Dad had to travel to take care of some family stuff, we were there for 10 wonderful days with our Grandchildren.  It always surprises me at how out of touch you can get when your kids leave home and you are not used to having small children around.  WOW, I don't remember them being so busy!!!

Then my wonderful hubby got me a wonderful new computer, he was tired of hearing me complain how slow everything was, so now I have the super computer with a ton of memory and all updated programs and it has taken me several weeks to get used to the difference feel of the keyboard.  Meanwhile, I have been doing lots of crafts, but have not gotten the photos uploaded yet.  I rearranged my craft room to accomodate some new storage units and an awesome table to work on, but I still haven't figured out where I am going to be able to take pictures at.  I have also been taking a Bind it All class over at the My Creative Classroom website.  I will post pictures of those creations also!  So I have been super busy, but not good at posting.  I am going to make a commitment to myself to get better at this.  It is sort of like jounaling and I have never been good at that!

Stay Crafty and A Huge Thank You to anyone who is brave enough to follow my blog and sometimes wild ramblings!

Another Challenge

OMG!! I can't believe that I haven't posted since October ......the time has flown by.  I am glad that it is a new year and I am ready to start fresh.  (The last part of 2010 was kind of tough, but I think I read someone that there is no crying allowed in Blog Land.   So My Pink Stamper has issued a challenge and a Design Team call.......I am so excited I can hardly breathe!!!!! I sooooooo what to be on her Design Team! So I put together this card, I hope that it at least gets noticed, after all I just looked at her blog and she already has about 300 entries.  So here I go.....

I used the Create a Critter cartridge in my cricut and cut it at 2 1/2 inches, using just scraps of card stock I had in my scrapbasket.  I used my Pebbles Chalk, my white signo gel pen and some Star Dust Stickles to brighten her up a bit.  After all Okieladybug says you can never have too many doodles!!!  I then trimmed my Very Vanilla and Soft Suede cardstock from Stampin Up, with my Friskars Deckle scissors and inked around the edges with a green chalk Cat's eye pad!  I do love my tools!  I then used Robin's cheater method with a piece of green scrap ribbon to make a little bow!  Then I punched out 2 of the 1 3/4 Scallop oval Punch from Stamping up and stamped them using the one of the stamps from the Pink Stamper set Buggy Punnies.  Then I used some dimensionals from Stampin Up and mounted it all on a piece of Regal Rose Cardstock also from Stampin Up.  Oops almost forgot, the hearts are a Martha Stewart Punch and the flower brads are from Creative Charms.  Wow, I think I used everything in my craft room!!!

Good Luck to all the entries, and Congratulation to Robin at My Pink Stamper on her new Pink Studio!
