My Pink Stamper Challenge

This is the card I made for My Pink Stamper's color challenge using pink, green and purple.  The sentiment is one of Robyn's, I think it is in the Spooky Puns set and the Girlie monster is a Peachy Keen Stamp from the  PK-632 Halloween Sweet Folks set that I colored with my Prismacolor pencil set (I love to color!) Then I added a couple of gems, some diamond stickles and Wow, what cute-ness.  I'll be back soon to post some of the stuff I made at the Cricut SWARM in Norman, OK this weekend.  It was an awesome day!

What have I been doing???

My goodness, I can't believe how fast this last month has flown by.  I have been very busy, with bible study, BABES weight loss, baby showers, birthdays and all kinds of other stuff.  I thought I would do a quick post today as I want to get ready to watch the My Pink Stamper fun stuff tonight.  I can't even make up my mind which project to post!  So I decided to post the card that I made for my oldest Grandchild.....He has been doing craps (what he called them) since he was 3, now he is 15!!! Where did the time go?

I can't even remember which cart I used to cut the frog...the dragonflies are some stickers I had left over from my Mother's Day card and the sentiment is one of My Pink Stamper's.  The little frogs are some I have had for years!

Look what I did!

Look what I learned to do today! I finally learned how to add a signature to my blog posts!!! What fun and frustration this has been! I found these instructions here.  She has a pretty cool website, let me know what you think of my new signature, does it look like it is made of ribbons?

Backyard Surprise!

This is the card that Mom & I made the other day.  I used the ghost and tree from my Paper Doll dressup cartridge with my expression.  For the ghost's faces I used Peachy Keen Stamp set PK-570 Basic Paper Doll Face Assortment. The leaves are some I found in a package at HL.  It was a lot of fun, making these little guys!

I can't believe I am this far behind!!!

These are pictures of the light centerpiece and the place settings that I made for the Women's Tea that we held at our church. Heather M drew the heart with scroll corners for me, she has a lot of free SVG files on her blog.

I have been trying my best to get some crafting done, but with my Mom & Dad visiting, taking a Beth Moore Bible Study, joining the BABES weight loss program, a diabetic cat and a root canal, I seem to be getting farther and further behind.....The Beth Moore Bible Study is To Live is Christ, which is the study of the apostle Paul, and I cannot believe how much I am loving it. I am not much of a history buff but I am finding fascinating. If you get a chance to take this one, I highly recommend it.

Mom and I made a couple of cards for Halloween and I will try to get them posted soon.

And Bear Makes Three

There is a small store located in Moore, Oklahoma that I love. I have been in love with this store for about 10 or 11 years now. It's called "and bear makes 3", it is an awesome store, with rubber stamp, scrapbooking supplies, classes and Boyd's Bears. They have a website, but it really doesn't do justice to the wonderful place it is. I can browse there for hours (and sometimes I do) I took a Thursday night class and created these wonderful be cards. I purchased the stamps and all my supplies at the store (they give you a 10% discount on the supplies if you are taking a class). I was having the best time, I colored my cards with my prismacolor pencils (I love my prismacolors). I tried the tombow markers that everyone else was using, but I really don't like markers. Unfortunately that meant that everyone else was done waaaay before I was! I've said it many times...I am a slow poke, I love the coloring part and was getting really into it, when the teacher said "since we are all done with the coloring, let's start putting our cards together!" I thought "Whoa, I'm still coloring card number 1!" It all worked out OK, I did have to bring some unfinished cards to finish at home, but I think it was worth it. I will be taking a couple more classes there in September and I can't wait!!! I hope you like these cards. If you want more information on the store, just let me know. Maybe I can figure out how to add a link.

My Stamp Club

I wanted to get the pictures of the things I made in my Stampin Up Club in August (of course, I made them some time ago!) I still have a bunch of stuff I made in August to post but I am always behind! This month we learned about using "Wheels" and mitering the corners like we did in the card with the pink flower. Then we used a triple wheel for the friend card, but I think my favorite was the notepad with the pen, I had a little trouble and my rep Connie had to help me with the punching out the dots! My hands just won't squeeze yet!!! But I really like the swirly pattern and the polka dots. I love Stamp Club and can't wait until September, Connie really makes it fun and always has awesome projects for us to make. If you aren't in a stamp club and live in oklahoma give me a shout and I will ask Connie if we can fit you in our club. All of the Ladies are really nice, and don't get upset when you are slow (like me).

Pink Stamper Card

This is the card I made to enter into the My Pink Stamper Challenge for a chance to win a set of Robyn's stamps. I made this card using a cup shaped card created by Tammy over at Cricut Critters, my Peachy Keen hot cocoa & face stamps (which I have been dying to use), my drippy goo MS punch. I think this is my favorite card so far. Robyn said it should be a winter card and what says winter more than hot cocoa???

Mom's Birthday Card

I made this card today for my Mom's birthday, which I haven't missed yet, but I don't think this will make it to her on time! I cut the hedgehog and the wording on my cricut, and I added a little sparkle with my gel pen. I sure hope she enjoys it!

Sketch challenge card

So today I finished my first card with a digital stamp on it for the CDAC sketch challenge. I really like coloring digital stamps with my new prismacolor pencils. I like participating in challenges but I don't understand how everyone seems to get them done so fast. I needed Rocky to help me upload the picture over there and now I 'm gonna attempt to put it on my blog. Yeah, it worked, but I think I'd better work on learning this also!

Today I went to my very first crop! It was awesome, but long! It was from 9 am - 6pm that's a whole lotta crafting! I really enjoyed myself though, I got to meet some very crafty people and learned a few new techniques. Next time I need to take a drink bottle (oops, I meant for water)! I also should have taken some ribbon with me......I didn't finish anything because I didn't have any ribbon to put on my cards!! Surely everyone knows you can't made cards without ribbon and bling.!!!

This blog this isn't working as well as I would like, I thought I would have made it prettier and gotten furthur in the design process so I am a little disappointed. But was really excited to get a comment on my first post!!! Wahoo! Someone besides my DH found me!!!

First post to my new blog

So today, July 3, 2010 I finally give in and try the world of blogging. I have no idea why I need or want a blog. I would like to have a place to put my craft projects, but I'm not sure that anyone except for me wants to see them.
